Lastovo sets the rhythm of this line, because that is where the catamaran spends the night. Monday to Saturday it leaves Ubli at 04:15, calls at Vela Luka between 05:10 and 05:20 and at Hvar between 06:15 and 06:25, and ties up in Split at 07:25. Sundays and public holidays shift the start to 07:00, with Split reached at 10:10.
The southbound trip is identical every day of the week: 14:00 from Split, into Hvar at 15:00 and out again at 15:10, Vela Luka at 16:05 and Ubli at 17:10. Staying in Hvar town and heading for Vela Luka, you have that one afternoon sailing, and no way back until the next morning. Starting in Vela Luka, though, a day on Hvar works: out at 05:20 (08:05 on Sundays and holidays) and back on the 15:10 from Hvar.
These off-season times hold until New Year's Eve 2026, and the PDF from AOLPP, which awards Croatia's state ferry contracts, matches TP Line's own copy line for line. The summer timetable, which ended on 27 September, used the same skeleton with the Split departure an hour later, at 15:00. Nothing has been published yet for 2027.

€5.70 from Hvar to Vela Luka until the end of December
Each pair of ports has its own fare, and it does not matter which way you travel. The hop most visitors ask about, Hvar to Vela Luka, is €5.70 for an adult this winter; Split to Hvar is €6.40 and the full length of the line, Split to Ubli, €8.60. Port charges and VAT are included in every figure.
During the summer season the same tickets cost noticeably more: €8.50 from Hvar to Vela Luka and €12.00 from Split to Ubli. Summer fares for 2027 will come with next year's timetable, which AOLPP has not yet released.

Where you board: Split's Riva, Hvar town, Vela Luka and Ubli
The two intermediate calls are easy to mix up with other ports on the same islands. On Hvar the catamaran uses the harbour of Hvar town itself, not Stari Grad or Jelsa, which are served by other lines. On Korčula it stops at Vela Luka, at the island's western end and a long way from Korčula town in the east. No berth is published for either port; the map shows the passenger landings marked in OpenStreetMap.
Split, city harbour
The island catamarans in Split tie up along the Riva side of the passenger port, not at the car-ferry berths further south. On 2 October, the day we checked, the Split port authority listed berth 7 and the vessel Kolovare for the 14:00 departure. Berths and boats can change from day to day, so check the departure screens in the port or plovidbeni.portsplit.hr before you walk down. Morning arrivals from the islands are due at 07:25, or 10:10 on Sundays and holidays.
Ubli, Lastovo
Ubli is the harbour where every boat from the mainland lands on Lastovo, and it is where line 9604 ends. The catamaran stays overnight here and sets off at 04:15, or at 07:00 on Sundays and public holidays; the afternoon boat from Split gets in at 17:10. TP Line does not say which berth it uses.
South from Split through the outer Dalmatian islands
Leaving Split, the catamaran runs south to Hvar town, then south-east to Vela Luka at the head of its long inlet on Korčula, and finally out across open water to Ubli on Lastovo. Neither AOLPP nor TP Line publishes distances or journey times for the line; the arrival times in the timetable are the only official figures.
What to sort out before you travel
- No cars, hire cars included
Vehicles never board this boat. Drivers, rental cars included, need Jadrolinija's ferry on line 604 from Split to Vela Luka and Lastovo, which has a timetable and price list of its own.
- Buying a ticket
Seats on 9604 are sold in TP Line's web shop, and typing tp-line.hr takes you straight into it.
- Luggage
The 2026 fare sheet has no luggage charge. It lists passenger fares only, plus a half-price fare for a pet travelling in a pet box.
- Departures in the dark
The 04:15 from Ubli and the 05:20 from Vela Luka leave long before sunrise in autumn and winter, so plan how you will reach the harbour.
- Public holidays
On a Croatian public holiday the boat keeps Sunday hours. Three such dates remain this year: Remembrance Day on 18 November, then 25 and 26 December.
Lastovo's two fast boats to the mainland
Line 9604 is a state-contracted fast line: AOLPP awards it and TP Line sails it. The same company links Ubli with Korčula town and Dubrovnik on the Lastovo to Dubrovnik catamaran, line 9808, so even in winter Lastovo keeps one fast boat towards Split and one towards Dubrovnik, both leaving the island early and coming back in the late afternoon.
In Split the catamaran berths on the same Riva side of the harbour as the Krilo catamaran to Šolta and western Brač. That is another operator's line with its own fares, and a ticket for one is no good on the other. The county's outermost islands make do with even less: Biševo is reached from Komiža on Vis by the small boat on line 612.
Line 9604 explained for first-time passengers
Can I visit Hvar for the day from Vela Luka?
Yes. Leave Vela Luka at 05:20 and you are in Hvar at 06:15; the return leaves Hvar at 15:10 and reaches Vela Luka at 16:05. On Sundays and holidays the morning boat leaves Vela Luka at 08:05 and the return is the same.
And a day trip the other way, from Hvar to Vela Luka?
Not with this line. The only boat from Hvar towards Vela Luka is the 15:10, arriving at 16:05, and the next one back to Hvar is the following morning.
Hvar to Vela Luka: what's the winter fare?
This winter, to 31 December, an adult ticket is €5.70 and a ticket for a child of 3 to 12 is €3.20, in either direction.
Does the catamaran run on Sundays?
Yes, every Sunday: off Lastovo at 07:00, into Split at 10:10, and back south at the usual 14:00. Public holidays follow the same pattern.
Does it stop in Korčula town?
No. On Korčula the only call is Vela Luka, at the western end of the island. Korčula's old town, far to the east, is served by other boats, among them line 9808 to Dubrovnik.
Split – Vela Luka by car ferry: is that this line?
No. The car ferry is Jadrolinija's line 604 with its own timetable. Line 9604 is TP Line's passenger-only catamaran, and it is the one that calls at Hvar town.
Will these times still apply in January 2027?
Not necessarily. Nothing for next year has been released, so the departures and fares here are only confirmed up to 31 December 2026.
