One hour, four sailings in each direction, €4.40 for a foot passenger: that is line 636 between Split and Rogač on Šolta now the summer season is over. Monday to Friday the ferry leaves Split at 06:45, 11:15, 16:15 and 20:30 and leaves Rogač at 05:30, 10:00, 12:30 and 17:30. Saturdays and Sundays shift a few departures but keep the same number of crossings.
Because the last crossing of the evening ends on the island, the first one of the morning starts there too: 05:30 from Rogač on weekdays and Saturdays, 07:00 on Sundays. Staying in Split and want a day on Šolta? Take the 06:45, 11:15 or 16:15 out and plan to be back on the 17:30 at the latest on weekdays.
Jadrolinija operates the line. Both AOLPP and Jadrolinija label the 2026 timetable as provisional; its off-season period runs from 28 September to 31 December 2026, and nothing has been published for 2027 yet. If you are travelling in November or December, check the times again shortly before you go.

Split's ferry piers and the landing at Rogač
Split ferry port
In Split the Šolta car ferry uses the ferry piers of the main harbour, not the berths near the Riva promenade where the catamarans tie up. The berth is allocated day by day: on 2 October 2026 the Split Port Authority listed the ferry Biokovo at berth 20 for the 06:45, berth 24 for the 11:15 and berth 23 for the 16:15 and 20:30. Check the port authority's departures page, plovidbeni.portsplit.hr, or the screens on the quay on the day. Jadrolinija's ticket office is on Gat sv. Duje.
Rogač ferry port (Šolta)
Rogač is Šolta's ferry harbour, and the day's last crossing ends here, which is why the first departure of the morning, at 05:30 (07:00 on Sundays), leaves from the island. The Jadrolinija office in Rogač, on Put svete Tereze, opens 04:30–12:30 and 16:00–17:30 on weekdays, 04:30–10:30 and 13:00–17:30 on Saturdays, and 06:00–10:00 and 14:00–17:30 on Sundays and holidays, staying open until 18:30 on October weekends to match the later last ferry.
A direct crossing to Šolta's north coast
The ferry sails from Split harbour to Rogač on the north coast of Šolta with no stops on the way. AOLPP and Jadrolinija's line page agree on a one-way time of 60 minutes. No distance is published.
Getting a car or a bike over to Šolta
- Arrive 45 minutes early
Jadrolinija wants foot passengers and drivers on the quay three quarters of an hour before sailing. Your ticket for line 636 doubles as a reservation on that particular ferry.
- Car plus people
The car's ticket covers only the car. Two adults with a small car pay €18.20 plus €4.40 each in the off-season.
- Berths change
The Rogač ferry does not always use the same berth in Split. Look it up on the port authority's departures page before heading to the quay.
- Bikes are ticketed
A bicycle needs its own €4.30 ticket out of season, in addition to the rider's fare.
- Christmas
Over Christmas (25–26 December) the early pair of crossings, Rogač 07:00 and Split 08:30, is cancelled; the rest of the Sunday timetable runs.
October weekends have an exception that is easy to miss. From 3 to 25 October the last ferry from Rogač on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays leaves at 18:30 rather than 17:30, giving an extra hour on the island; on weekdays it stays at 17:30.
If you are travelling without a car, Rogač is also served by Krilo Shipping Company's catamaran on line 9601, which continues to Brač. It leaves from a different berth near the Riva and costs €4.70 to Rogač off-season, slightly more than the ferry; times are on the Split – Milna – Rogač catamaran page. For another Jadrolinija car ferry to small islands near Split, see the Trogir – Drvenik ferry.
