Lauttainfo Croatia is the English edition of a guide that also exists in Croatian, and both belong to lauttainfo.com, a small independent project that started with Finnish road ferries. We are not a ticket seller, a travel agent or a shipping company, and none of them pays for these pages; advertising does.
Most island lines in Croatia are public services. The state agency for coastal line shipping (Agencija za obalni linijski pomorski promet, AOLPP) awards each numbered line to an operator and publishes its timetable, and Jadrolinija or a private company then runs the boats. For every line here we read the timetable and the fare list published by the operator or the agency, keep a dated copy, and print that date next to the table.
Visitors are often caught out by details rather than by the timetable itself: a catamaran that leaves from the old-town quay while the car ferry uses a terminal outside the centre, a stop that is served only on some days, a fare that applies only to islanders. Each page tries to spell those out for someone who does not read Croatian.
When two official sources disagree, or a figure appears only on a third-party booking site, we leave it out and say so. Timetables change with the season, and each page shows when it was last checked and when it is due for another look.
