Since 28 September 2026 line 532 has a single ferry out of Šibenik at 11:30 and a single one back from Žirje at 17:45, seven days a week. Kaprije is served in both directions. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends the boat runs straight to Kaprije and reaches Žirje at 13:10; on Tuesdays and Thursdays it calls at Zlarin as well and gets to Žirje at 13:25.
The line's full name lists five ports, but out of season it does not call at all of them. Obonjan appears in the 2026 timetables of Jadrolinija and of the state agency AOLPP only between 3 July and 30 August, and Zlarin only twice a week. For a Zlarin trip on any other day, use the daily passenger boat on line 505.
Jadrolinija's own description puts the trip to Žirje at 1 hour 25 minutes, but its timetable shows 11:30 to 13:10 on the direct days and longer when Zlarin is included. Go by the timetable.

Same fare to Kaprije as to Žirje
There are two price levels. The long trip from Šibenik costs the same whether you get off at Kaprije or ride on to Žirje: €3.20 a person and €19.10 for an ordinary car. The short hops — Šibenik to Zlarin, Zlarin onwards, or Kaprije to Žirje — are €2.50 a person.
The tariff states that bus and lorry drivers ride free, but says nothing of the kind for car drivers, so budget for a passenger ticket on top of the car fare. Under-threes go free; 3-to-12-year-olds pay €1.60 on the long trip. Summer prices ended on 27 September.

Boarding in Šibenik and getting off at Žirje
Šibenik harbour, Obala hrvatske mornarice
Buy your ticket at Jadrolinija's desk in the harbour on Obala hrvatske mornarice. It is open all day Monday to Saturday, but on Sundays its morning shift ends at 11:30 — the very minute the ferry leaves — so Sunday travellers should buy ahead. Jadrolinija says a ticket on this line also secures your place on the chosen sailing, which matters with a car when there is only one boat a day.
Žirje harbour, Obala Zorana Mrvice
Žirje is the end of the line and the only port where cars can be driven off without special permission. Jadrolinija's ticket desk on the quay opens half an hour before each departure. In bad weather the timetable allows the ferry to leave Žirje as soon as it has unloaded and loaded, without waiting for 17:45, so be at the harbour early on a windy day.
West from Šibenik towards the open sea
The ferry leaves Šibenik and heads west across the archipelago. On Tuesdays and Thursdays it makes a detour to Zlarin first. Kaprije comes next, roughly halfway, and Žirje, the outermost inhabited island of the group, is the end of the line.
Obonjan, a small island between Zlarin and Kaprije, appears in the line's name but only has a call in high summer: in 2026 that was 3 July to 30 August, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a separate 08:30 sailing from Šibenik. The rest of the year the ferry passes it by.
Bringing a car, a bike or just a day bag
- Cars can only go to Žirje
Jadrolinija says vehicles may not disembark at Zlarin or Kaprije without a special permit. With a hire car, your destination is Žirje.
- Foot passengers need no booking
Walk-on passengers simply buy a ticket; the fare to either island is €3.20. A day visit to Žirje runs from the 13:10 arrival to the 17:45 departure.
- Weather can bring the return forward
The timetable carries a note that in bad weather the ferry leaves Žirje straight after loading. Do not cut it fine on a stormy afternoon.
- Luggage allowance
Bags weighing 20 kg or less go free; each extra 10 kg can be charged up to €0.46. Goods and freight need prior arrangement with Jadrolinija.
- Island fares are not for visitors
The €1.70 passenger fare is reserved for residents holding a Croatian island card issued by AOLPP.
This is a genuine car ferry, but with limits that surprise drivers: vehicles are only let off at Žirje, and Kaprije and Zlarin need a special permit. If you are only visiting Kaprije, leave the car in Šibenik: a foot passenger pays €3.20 each way to either island.

Ferry 532 questions: Obonjan, Zlarin days and taking the car
Can I get to Obonjan by ferry in October?
No. In 2026 the ferry called at Obonjan only from 3 July to 30 August, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, leaving Šibenik at 08:30 and Obonjan at 09:30. Out of season there is no call.
Which days does the ferry stop at Zlarin?
Off-season, Tuesdays and Thursdays only. It leaves Zlarin at 12:00 for Kaprije and Žirje, and at 19:10 back to Šibenik.
Is a day trip to Žirje possible?
Yes: arrive at 13:10 (13:25 on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and leave at 17:45, reaching Šibenik at 19:25 or 19:40.
Can I drive onto Kaprije?
Only with a special permit. Jadrolinija states that vehicles cannot disembark at Zlarin or Kaprije otherwise; without one, cars can only be unloaded at Žirje.
What do a car and its driver pay to reach Žirje?
The car fare is €19.10 up to 5 m long and 2 m high, €37.70 above that. The tariff only exempts bus and lorry drivers, so allow €3.20 for the driver's own ticket.

The 2026 off-season timetable ends on 31 December. The 2027 timetable had not been published on 29 September 2026, so check again before travelling in January.
