Line 505 runs across the inner part of the Šibenik archipelago: from Šibenik out to Zlarin, the island nearest the city, on to Prvić, which lies almost opposite Vodice, and finally into Vodice itself. Jadrolinija runs it with a boat that takes no cars, only people, luggage and bikes. Jadrolinija puts the whole trip at one hour and a quarter, and the timetable agrees: the 09:30 from Šibenik is in Vodice at 10:45.
Prvić has two villages with harbours, Prvić Luka and Šepurine, and older guides and booking sites still list both. The 2026 timetable does not: both the state agency AOLPP and Jadrolinija show Šepurine as the only stop on Prvić, and Prvić Luka has neither a departure nor a fare. If your accommodation is in Prvić Luka, get off at Šepurine and ask your host about the way across the island.
The summer timetable ended on 30 August. From 31 August to 31 December there are five boats each way from Monday to Saturday and three on Sundays and holidays. The first boat of the week leaves Vodice at 04:35 and reaches Šibenik at 05:45 — a commuter service in all but name — while the last one out of Šibenik, at 19:30, docks in Vodice at 20:45.

What a ticket costs now that summer fares have ended
Fares are set per pair of ports, and the return leg costs what the outward one did. The longest trip, Šibenik to Vodice, is €2.60 for an adult; hopping from Zlarin to Prvić Šepurine is €1.90. Those are the off-season figures that came back on 28 September — through the summer the same tickets cost roughly a euro more.
A bike costs one more adult fare, dogs and other pets travel free, and the price already covers VAT and port dues. The much lower island rate is for registered islanders holding a state island card, not for visitors.

Where you board in Šibenik, on the islands and in Vodice
Šibenik harbour (Jadrolinija port sales point, Obala hrvatske mornarice 4)
Head for the waterfront below the old town, where Jadrolinija runs a ticket point in the harbour at Obala hrvatske mornarice 4. It opens Monday to Saturday from 05:30 to 19:30, and on Sundays from 08:30 to 11:30 and 17:00 to 19:30, which covers the 05:50 weekday departure and the 09:00 and 17:20 on Sundays. Jadrolinija's full agency on Obala dr. Franje Tuđmana keeps office hours only, 07:00 to 14:00 on weekdays.
Vodice waterfront (Obala Juričev Ive Cote)
In Vodice the boat ties up on the seafront promenade, Obala Juričev Ive Cote, next to Jadrolinija's small office. That office keeps short hours — 10:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 18:00 from Monday to Saturday, 06:30 to 07:15 and 14:00 to 18:00 on Sundays — so it will be shut for the 04:35 weekday departure. Jadrolinija does not say online how tickets are sold when the office is closed; ask the day before if you plan to catch that boat.
Out through St Anthony's Channel and up the coast to Vodice
Šibenik's harbour sits in a sheltered bay, and every boat leaves it through the narrow St Anthony's Channel before turning towards the islands. Zlarin, the closer of the two, is normally the first call; the boat then heads north-west to Šepurine on the Vodice-facing shore of Prvić and finishes with the short hop across to Vodice. Coming back, the order simply reverses.
Two sailings break the pattern. The 05:50 on weekdays skips Zlarin and goes straight to Šepurine, and the 17:20 on Sundays runs Šibenik to Vodice with no calls at all.
Tickets, bags and bikes on a small island boat
- Leave the hire car behind
Line 505 is a passenger boat and takes no vehicles. If you drove to Šibenik or Vodice, park on the mainland; the islands are explored on foot.
- A ticket is good all day
Jadrolinija's Croatian page for this line says a ticket is valid on any departure of the line on the date printed, so missing the boat does not cost you a new fare.
- Bags go free to 20 kg
A suitcase and a backpack under 20 kg in total cost nothing extra. Beyond that weight the fare table permits a charge of up to €0.46 per 10 kg.
- Bikes travel at the adult rate
A bike is charged whatever an adult pays for the same stretch: €2.50 between Šibenik and Zlarin in the off-season, for instance.
- Sundays and holidays run the short timetable
On Croatian public holidays the Sunday column applies. On Christmas Day 2026, a Friday, boats leave Šibenik at 09:00, 17:20 and 19:30.
Zlarin is also served by Jadrolinija's car ferry to the outer islands, line 532 to Kaprije and Žirje, but in the off-season it calls there only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, leaving Zlarin at 12:00 outward and 19:10 back to Šibenik. For a day on Zlarin, line 505 is the practical choice: out at 09:30, back from the island at 12:45 or 18:40 on weekdays.
Line 505 is also a cheap coastal shortcut between two mainland towns. Šibenik to Vodice costs €2.60 by boat, and the Sunday 17:20 does it without stopping, in half an hour. On weekdays, though, check which boat you board: the 05:50 and 13:30 from Šibenik terminate at Prvić Šepurine and never reach Vodice.

Does the boat still stop at Prvić Luka?
Not in 2026. The timetables published by AOLPP and Jadrolinija list only Prvić Šepurine on Prvić, and the fare table has no price for Prvić Luka.
Can I do Zlarin as a day trip from Šibenik?
Yes. Monday to Saturday, the 09:30 from Šibenik reaches Zlarin at 09:55, and boats back leave Zlarin at 12:45 and 18:40. On Sundays go out at 09:00 and come back at 15:40 or 18:40.
What is the journey time from Šibenik to Vodice?
Jadrolinija says 1 hour 15 minutes with all stops; the 09:30 arrives at 10:45. The Sunday 17:20 makes no calls and arrives at 17:50.
Why do some departures from Šibenik not go to Vodice?
On weekdays the 05:50 and 13:30 end at Prvić Šepurine and return to Šibenik from there, at 06:30 and 14:30. For Vodice, take the 09:30, 15:30 or 19:30.
